ERIC is an environmental consulting business formed in February 1992 to provide research, development and application of spatial information in natural resource management and enterprise development. ERIC develops map products on natural resources and integrates this with spatial information on infrastructure and social resources to develop intelligence to improve business and environmental outcomes.

ERIC has a range of core products to deliver business and environmental outcomes. The products are used to address requirements such as regional development and enterprise site selection. Client support starts with the development of baseline information, its integration with other information, provision of decision support, plan development and implementation through ongoing advisory support, monitoring and reporting. Client applications range from mapping the nature and condition of vegetation and soil resources to evaluations of the potential and condition of individual landholdings. Map scales can range from state, regional, local, farm and paddock.

Company experience covers land and water management, rural and regional development, periurban and urban development, property assets, state and national resource mapping. Issues addressed include compliance and impact assessment, enterprise and regional development. Disciplines include climate, ecology, surficial hydrology, soils and vegetation.

ERIC develops and applies information for a wide range of locations including all parts of Australia, the Asia-Pacific region, China, Turkey and Iraq. Use of remote sensing allows development, maintenance and application of information for any part of the world.
