| ERIC has a wide range of baseline map products that underpin environmental services involving decision support, resource assessment and monitoring, and reporting. New information developed from remotely sensed and other data includes map products on vegetation, soils, hydrology, climate and land use, at paddock and regional scales. The information is applied through client specific environmental management information systems (EMIS). These systems deliver business and environmental information to address client needs for natural resource management, business and regional development.
The ERIC R&D capability is central to ensuring the cost effective development of detailed and reliable information, and in allowing adaptation of existing systems to best address client needs. Innovation is central to all ERIC operations.
The scope of ERIC services includes:
Baseline resource intelligence (development of natural resource information)
Resource information integration (natural, social and economic resource information)

Plan development (strategic, policy, implementation)
Monitoring and evaluation applications to address business and environmental issues
Ongoing support (information maintenance, training and advisory services)
